College & Career Resource Center

The College Career Resource Center (CCRC) is available to our students to assist them in preparing for life after high school. Choosing a career path can be a difficult decision. When students have some idea of the type of career they are interested in, it helps determine a college major or what type of specialty, trade school or training option would be required to accomplish their career goals.

The topics/webpages listed in the right hand menu under the CCRC will help students work through the process of deciding on a career and/or a college. It provides the tools necessary to travel through the post-high school planning process.

Our primary research tool is Naviance:

Naviance: (Students can sign in using their school gmail login but parents need a registration code to set up an account linked to their students. Codes are sent to parents/guardians freshman year and each year following for any who did not previously sign up.)

CCRC Hours

The CCRC is open on school days as follows:
7:15am to 3:30pm M-F

Seniors and their Parent(s)/Guardian(s)

A Spanish staff member will be available during the virtual event

These workshops will afford families time to work on their FAFSA and have personnel available to answer any questions that may arise. The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) provides support for this program. During this workshop students will be able to get questions answered to complete either the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid (Alternative Application) for qualifying undocumented. These are the forms used to apply for financial aid, such as the Federal Pell Grant and/or the Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP). Many colleges also use these forms to consider students for institutional money. Individuals must create an FSA ID at least three business days prior to the workshop to be able to start the FAFSA. Students and parents use their FSA ID to provide approval for the transfer of tax and income information from the IRS to the FAFSA. Please note that the FSA ID is not used with the Alternative Application. Individuals should have information regarding their income and asset information readily available
